Volunteer
The Benedict Center offers several volunteer opportunities to help us serve the women in our programs. Positions offer varying levels of time commitments ranging from one-time projects to ongoing, scheduled positions. Ongoing Individual Volunteer Positions
Women’s Harm Reduction Program (1849 N. MLK)
- Sorting donations
- Office support (paper shredding, light cleaning)
Schedule is flexible, between the hours of 9-4:30 M-F
Reentry Program (1849 N. MLK)
- Sorting donations
- Organizing Reentry supplies
Schedule is flexible, between the hours of 9-4:30 M-F
Sisters Program (209 W. Orchard and 1609 W. North Ave Drop-In Centers)
- Hospitality services: assisting with meal prep, light cleaning, and sorting donations.
Scheduling is flexible, between the hours of 9-4 M-F
- Assist with client services in alignment with a volunteer’s experience and/or credentials.
Scheduling is fixed, specific to volunteer role.
All volunteers are required to:
- Complete a Milwaukee County Caregiver background check
- Complete an interview with a staff member
- Participate in an orientation
- Be over 18 for in-person
